Bathroom Makeovers

 Bathroom Makeovers

Like a surprising majority of the population, when COVID hit I decided it was time to do some home renovations. My 3 bathrooms were all in huge need of updates, and I was stuck at home and needed some things to do. So I set my sights on our bathrooms. And once again I decided to go the cost effective route and just paint all the cabinets. I had all the old worn out laminate counters replaced with granite and bought new sinks and faucets, which were all installed by professionals wearing masks. Yes, it was weird time for us all. But I definitely kept myself busy transforming all 3 bathrooms. It was a good distraction for me!

1st Bathroom Makeover

Half-bath - BEFORE:

I decided to repurpose an old mirror that had been in our hallway and use it in place of the square builder grade bathroom mirror. I actually also repurposed that square mirror and used it in the guest bathroom.

Half-bath - AFTER:

(painted cabinets, painted walls, reused an old mirror, painted light fixture and added new sconce light covers, and switched out all fixtures)

2nd Bathroom Makeover

Guest Bathroom - BEFORE:

(This bathroom had the standard builder grade laminate counter, rectangular mirror with a vanity light bar above it, wire shelving, whitewashed oak cabinets, and a linoleum floor)

Guest Bathroom - AFTER:

(I painted the walls and vanity cabinet, took down the huge mirror and replaced it with the mirror from our hallway half bath that I added a handmade frame to, made wood and pipe shelves to frame the mirror, and took down the wire shelves and made new wood shelves and installed them with metal brackets. I replaced all fixtures with rustic industrial black fixtures. I installed square tiles for the backsplash and added a wood accent strip at the top of the tile. I hired the same granite company to replace the counter with granite and a new sink, which a professional plumber installed for us)

Progress - Vanity cabinet painted

3rd Bathroom Makeover

And once we got rid of the huge builder grade mirror:
