First Commissioned HokieBird chair

 I'm so excited to say that I've created a HokieBird for a client that works at Virginia Tech who wanted a totally unique chair for her office space. She had been looking for months for just the right chair, and when she saw pictures of my HokieBird chairs she said she knew she had finally found exactly what she was looking for. I couldn't have been more thrilled! She wanted a regular table height chair for her smallish office, so I found a great old dining room chair and went to work. This was definitely a fun one to do. 

The dining room chair before. It was sturdy but needed more padding on the seat. And as usual, all chairs are painted the perfect VT maroon color. 

Taking the upright back of the chair from a wooden, hard surface to a cushioned and comfortable but colorful space takes some work! 

Every surface gets a soft layer of batting and fleece, and super plush fabric tops it all off.

And  voilà! Finished HokieBird chair.
